We conducted clinical studies and launched the first secretolytic (mucolytic) agent called Bromhexine, a key ingredient that helps treat cough and phlegm in the respiratory tract.
Bromhexine is a synthetic version of the plant-based ingredient called Vasicine, derived from the Indian lungwort, Justicia Adhatoda.
1960 - 1965
Following Bromhexine’s discovery, we continued its clinical studies to develop Ambroxol.
This substance is a more potent metabolite of Bromhexine, which has high secretomotor and secretolytic properties and can break down secretions and promote their expulsion.
1966
Ambroxol was patented in 1966 and became the key ingredient we used to create Mucosolvan, a product we developed from our own research.
